Custom printed flags that catch the eye
A custom flag moves, stands tall and draws eyes from across a car park. We quote on printed flags in several shapes. Share your artwork and where it will fly and we will recommend a style.
- Teardrop and feather styles
- Visible from a distance
- Stand and base options
- Indoor and outdoor

Flag styles to choose from
Options we can quote include:
- Teardrop flags with a curved edge that stays open in light wind.
- Feather or sail flags that are tall and narrow, popular for shop fronts and roadside advertising.
- Rectangle flags for conventional poles, building fronts and sports fields.
- Custom or company flags in standard flagpole proportions for offices and ceremonies.
Sizes and shapes vary by supplier and stock, so we confirm availability on the quote.
Poles, bases and fixing
A flag is only as good as its stand. For lawns and grass, a spike base pushes into the ground; for pavements and hard surfaces, a cross base or water-filled base gives stability; for a shop front, a wall bracket keeps it permanently displayed. Heavy-duty bases are worth it in windy areas.
Tell us where the flag will stand and we will recommend the right kit. If you also want a table cover or banner, see our gazebo branding and pull-up banners for matching pieces.
Artwork for flags
Flags are viewed moving and from a distance, so simple, high-contrast designs read best. Use a bold logo, one short line of text and strong colours. On teardrop and feather flags, the design is laid out vertically, so rotate your artwork accordingly.
- Send a vector logo (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF).
- Tell us the flag style and size so we can supply a template.
- Decide whether you want the print visible on both sides, which is usually how flags are made.
Timing and care
Lead time depends on the flag style, stock and production capacity, confirmed on the quote after the artwork is approved. Outdoor flags fade and fray over time, especially in strong wind, so bring them in during storms and wash gently if they get dirty.
Collect from our Rivonia shop once we confirm the order is ready, or ask for delivery quoted per job. Check hardware and fit on collection.

Frequently asked questions
Which flag style is best for a shop?
Feather flags suit pavements and shop fronts because they are tall and narrow. Teardrops suit events and open spaces.
Are flags printed on both sides?
Often yes, but the second side may show the design reversed or mirrored. We confirm printing on the quote.
Do flags come with a base?
We can quote flags with or without bases. Tell us where it will stand.
Can flags be used in wind?
They are made for outdoor use, but strong wind wears them out. Heavier bases and taking them down in storms help.
Can I order different designs in one order?
Yes, each design is quoted separately. Give us the sizes and quantities.
